Muddy Mondays Daytime- Handbuilding Clay Bird House Workshop Mondays, 10am-12pm-September 21st and October 5th 10am-12pm
Muddy Mondays – 2x-Coil Vase or Lady Pot Handbuilding Class with Elizabeth Van Antwerp- September 21st and October 5th 10am-12pm
Get creative with coils in this two-part handbuilding pottery class with Elizabeth Van Antwerp!
In the first class, Elizabeth will guide you through the process of creating your choice of a handbuilt coil vase or a whimsical lady pot. You’ll learn how to build with coils, properly join and strengthen your clay, shape your form, and add creative details that make your piece completely your own.
Want something classic and organic? Create a beautiful textured coil vase. Feeling a little more playful? Give your lady pot her own personality with sculpted features, texture, and plenty of character!
Then we’ll give your creations time to slowly dry and be bisque fired before meeting again two weeks later.
During the second class, you’ll bring your piece to life with glazes, color, and finishing details. After glazing, we’ll fire it one final time, and it will be ready for pickup once firing is complete.
No experience necessary. This is a fun, beginner-friendly class and a great introduction to one of the oldest and most versatile ways of creating with clay.
