Monday Nights - 6 Week Advanced Pottery Sessions 6-8pm Starts September 8th-October 13th
Advanced Wheel Pottery Class
6-Week Series | For Experienced Potters Ready to Level Up
This six-week advanced wheel class is designed for potters who are confident centering clay and throwing basic forms, and are ready to expand their skills, creativity, and consistency on the wheel. Classes are small, so each student gets individualized teaching.
Students will:
Refine techniques for taller, thinner, and more complex forms
Explore advanced shaping like altered rims, lidded vessels, and closed forms
Dive into trimming, attachments (handles, spouts, knobs), and surface design
Learn to plan and create cohesive sets (like mugs, bowls, or dinnerware)
Experiment with glaze layering, slip, and decorating techniques
Receive personalized coaching to troubleshoot challenges and push creative boundaries
Each student will have dedicated wheel time, access to high-quality tools and glazes, and guided instruction from a master potter with 24 years of teaching and professional experience.
Come ready to grow your skills, challenge yourself, and create pottery you're truly proud of.
Previous wheel experience required.
