Muddy Mondays- Handbuilding Clay Workshop with Elizabeth Van Antwerp
Discover the endless possibilities of clay without using a pottery wheel. In this 4-week workshop, students will explore the three foundational handbuilding techniques—pinch, coil, and slab construction—to create unique functional and decorative pottery.
Learn essential clay skills including proper construction methods, scoring and slipping, surface decoration, and glazing techniques. Projects may include vases, wall pockets, birdhouses, and other creative forms, with plenty of opportunity for personal expression.
No experience necessary. Whether you're brand new to clay or looking to expand your skills, this workshop offers a fun and supportive environment to learn and create.
Ages 15 through Adults
Mondays, 1:00–3:00 PM
July 6, 13, 20 & 27
All clay, glazes, and kiln firings included.
Limited to 8 students.
$225
Whether you are trying clay for the very first time or looking to grow your hand-building skills, this workshop is a wonderful chance to spend a few inspiring days creating with clay in a supportive studio environment.
Due to the limited size of this specialty workshop and the preparation involved, all workshop registrations are non-refundable. No cash refunds will be issued for cancellations or missed classes.
Because this is a multi-day workshop with limited seating and guest instruction, we are unable to offer make-up classes for any missed workshop days.
If you are unable to attend, your workshop spot may be reassigned to another person by notifying Moon Struck Pottery and Makers Space before the workshop begins.
If a cancellation is made at least 7 days before the workshop start date, a studio credit may be issued at the discretion of Moon Struck Pottery and Makers Space. Credits are not available for cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop.
By registering, students acknowledge and agree to these policies.
